Chau Har Lee
London-based footwear designer Chau Har Lee’s eponymous footwear label incorporates conceptual footwear and more accessible pieces while her unique aesthetic results from integrating traditional methods of shoemaking with modern technologies. She graduated from Cordwainers College in 2002 and, seven years later, completed a masters degree at the Royal College of Art. Her career highlights include being the prize winner of the RCA’s Manolo Blahnik Project in 2009 along with a nomination for the 2009 Todd & Duncan Award for Excellence. Currently working on her own eponymous label, Chau also designs on a freelance basis for Camper, the Spanish footwear brand. She teaches at the London College of Fashion and the Prescott & Mackay school of fashion and accessory design.
