Dorchester Collection Gift Card frequently asked questionsHow does my Dorchester Collection Gift Card work?Dorchester Collection currently offers two types of Gift Cards:
1. Gift Experience Gift Cards - These Gift Cards are branded with a single hotel name. They can only be purchased at that specific hotel or that hotel’s online shop and redeemed at that specific hotel.
2. Monetary Gift Cards - These Gift Cards can be purchased at any Dorchester Collection hotel but must be redeemed in country where the card was purchased as per our terms & conditions.
What Gift Card denominations are available?Dorchester Collection Monetary Gift Cards are available for any amount between 100 and 2000 ($ £ € CHF).

The Dorchester online shop.Can I get a Gift Card delivered?Yes, Royal Mail First Class Special Delivery, which is tracked and signed for, is used for shipping addresses in UK; European and most International deliveries are sent by Royal Mail International Signed For, which is trackable within most countries and must be signed for on delivery. FedEX is used for shipping addresses in North, Central and South America and Canada. Orders are typically shipped one day after they were placed. Delivery charges are in addition to the cost of your Gift Card and costs and delivery times depend on where the Gift Card is being shipped to.
Can I purchase more than one Gift Card at a time?When Gift Cards are purchased in person at one of our hotels you can purchase numerous Gift Cards. However, at present only one Gift Card can be purchased online at a time and one shipping address used per transaction.
What can I buy with my Gift Card?Dorchester Collection Gift Experience Gift Cards are for specific experiences at specific hotels, such as an afternoon tea, spa treatment, accommodation or dining and will be specified when you receive your Gift Card. Monetary Gift Cards allow the recipient to choose how they spend their Gift Card but it must be redeemed in the same country it was purchased.
Does the entire value of the Gift Card have to be redeemed in a single transaction?Dorchester Collection Monetary Gift Cards are designed to carry a balance, therefore, if a Monetary Gift Card is used to pay for something of lesser value than is stored on the card, the amount of the purchase will be subtracted and the remaining balance will stay on the card for future use. Partial redemption is not possible with Gift Experience Gift Cards and no change will be given should the experience not be redeemed in full unless required by law.
Can Gift Cards be exchanged for cash?Dorchester Collection Gift Cards are not refundable, may not be exchanged for cash unless required by law and have no value unless redeemed. Guest charges in excess of the Gift Card's balance may be settled with cash, major credit card or charged to the room account for guests staying in the relevant Dorchester Collection hotel.
Do Gift Cards have an expiry date?Monetary Gift Cards do not expire and have no annual or activation fees. Gift Experience Gift Cards expire one year after the date of purchase and cannot be redeemed after the expiry, unless your Gift Card was purchased in the US where expiry dates do not apply.
