Criteria
The Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize is open for designers of ready-to-wear clothing and premium accessories. Applicants must have an established design business and have operated their brand for two consecutive years in the UK.The work of the Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize winner must evoke the spirit of the Dorchester Collection’s hotels and, therefore, project a sense of individuality, luxury, style and craftsmanship.To apply they must fill in the application form online and be sure to include 5 low res images of each of their last 2 collections.
Process
Designers will be able to apply on line until the deadline of the end of May 2010 The panel of judges will then review all on-line applications and meet to agree a shortlist of five designers. The shortlist will be announced in July 2010. The judges will meet for the final time in November when they will interview the five shortlisted designers and review samples from their most recent collections. They will then decide on a final winner for the Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize The Prize will be bestowed at an Awards Ceremony to be held at The Dorchester in November 2010.
