Daphne Guinness

GuinnessDaphne Guinness's love of art and fashion evolved from an eccentric and flamboyant upbringing in London, Ireland and Cadaques.

Daphne has studied life drawing, drama and music, but it is in the fashion industry that she holds most sway. That’s partly due to her distinctive and idiosyncratic personal style. She has collaborated with the photographers David LaChapelle, Steven Klein, Steven Meisel and Sean Ellis. The short film “Cashback”, directed by Sean Ellis and produced  by Daphne, was nominated for an Oscar in 2004. Daphne has produced two of her own films “Phenomenology of Body” which debuted in Paris in July 2008, and “Mnemsoyne” to accompany the launch of her signature scent in September 2009. In 2008, Daphne designed a capsule collection of white shirts, sold exclusively at Dover Street Market. Her fascination with armour has inspired a project with jeweller Shaun Leane, who is creating a diamond and chain mail gauntlet with her.
