Acanto Restaurant partners with Taste of Milano

For a feast of fine food visit Taste of Milano. Now in its 5th year, the 2014 event is being held from May 8-11, at Superstudio Piu on Via Tortona 27. 

The theme of the event is Waiting for Expo 2015, making Taste of Milan one of the first big occasions in the city to promote the Expo’s theme of food and environmental sustainability.

A collection of 12 of the city’s finest chefs will take part in the event, presenting their own three-course menu created especially for the occasion. Each chef’s menu will include a designated sustainable dish using local products and cooking methods that cause minimal environmental impact. 

Our own executive chef, Fabrizio Cadei, will represent Acanto Restaurant with the following menu. Pertosa artichoke confit, timut pepper, liquorice crumble and buffalo mozzarella. To follow, a sustainable dish of imperial blackfish fillet, marinated red sorrel, peas and organic amaranth chips. For dessert, milk mousse with Paestum ricotta cheese, dried cranberries and raspberry balsamic vinegar.

Taste of Milano’s exclusive activities and events will include a chance to meet the chefs in the Hospitality Lounge, cook with them at The Lab and attend cookery courses, blind tastings and a visit to the Table of Wonders and Wine Caveau.
