Georges Braque Exhibition

01 December 2013 - 06 January 2014
The Grand Palais is presenting a new career retrospective of
Georges Braque, one of the preeminent artists of the 20th Century.

Consisting of dozens of the French artist’s best-known
works, this exhibition, created in partnership with the Centre Pompidou, traces
the entire scope of Braque’s career. Beginning with the artist’s early forays
into Fauvism and Cubism, the show continues through his experimentations with
Dadaist works, cut paper, and sculpture. Always at the forefront of the
avant-garde, Braque partnered with different artists throughout his life, from
Picasso and the composer Erik Satie to poet René Char; a selection of
photographs and documents will also be presented alongside the artist’s major
works.
