The Principe Bar
Light, sparkle, sensuous, glittering and radiant are just a few adjectives to describe the new bar at Hotel Principe di Savoia which is destined to become the “pearl of Milan". The celebrated architect and interior designer Thierry Despont has designed a vibrant and exciting place, retaining and bringing to life some original and traditional features of the hotel, such as the valuable and colourful marbles, precious Italian fabrics and hand made velvet, mirrors and glasses. The centrepiece of the bar is a custom-made banquette that dramatically “wraps around” a grand piano, creating an intimate space for musical soirees. The bar itself is a work of art, sculpted of tinted crystal and arrayed with a backlit mirrored wall to complement light playing around the room.
