Careers - unlock your potential at Coworth Park
Coworth Park continues to be the subject of a fraudulent job application scam. This scam targets individuals who have registered with job search websites. Fraudulent job offers and job application forms are being sent by email enticing individuals to disclose personal information and pay money on the pretence of securing work and residence permits.Whilst these emails may appear genuine, as they make unauthorised use of the hotel’s name, logo and address, they are in fact bogus. We assure you that we’re taking all measures within our power to stop this fraudulent activity.
What do I do if I receive a bogus email?
If you receive such bogus emails regarding hotel careers or application forms, please do not respond to them and in particular do not send any money. If you have already responded to such an email, please contact us supplying all relevant details.
How do I know if my job offer is genuine?
We always conduct at least one interview, either in person or via internet video call, during your application process. We’ll also phone or email you to discuss any potential offers. Once you have accepted, we then follow this up with an emailed offer letter from one of our HR colleagues. When conversing with Dorchester Collection, the only official email domain is ‘@dorchestercollection.com’ – any variation on this is a scam.

Our new recruit
We are very pleased to welcome our new executive chef, Adam Smith, to the team at Coworth Park.

Are you a front desk agent who longs to discover how to tie a handheld bouquet? Coworth Park is for you! We can offer you exposure to another skill, department or even another Dorchester Collection hotel around the world. Previously we’ve swapped bartenders with Hotel Eden in Rome, housekeepers with concierge teams at Le Richemond in Geneva, and pastry chefs with our Californian team members.
Many of our people are sponsored to attend courses at colleges and given study time to advance their careers. Colleagues have the opportunity to work on their English at any level – from basic language classes to professional business writing skills. Additionally, we work with external providers to offer world-class training courses. You may wish to train to become a departmental trainer, attend innovation workshops to boost your creativity or attend one of our tempting and informative masterclasses such as revenue management, chocolate making, or even whisky appreciation – typically held on a Friday afternoon!
For our supervisors and team leaders we offer LEAD, our ten-module leadership development programme based on our core leadership competencies. Following on from this, we offer managers our EXPAND programme, delving into the habits and practices of highly-effective leaders. Finally, for our leadership and executive team we offer INSPIRE, a residential full 360-critique and analysis of you as a leader. Training standards are, as you would expect, extremely high. We devote considerable time and effort to giving all of our people all the skills needed to exceed guest expectations and to be confident. Wherever you see your future taking you, Coworth Park can offer you exceptional training and development.
At Coworth Park, corporate responsibility has always been high on the agenda including the way the hotel was designed. Our Corporate Responsibility Team includes members from majority of the hotel departments and works alongside colleagues in Dorchester Collection, to share ideas and best practice.
Our team plays an integral role in working with charity partners, involved in activities such as:
- Ascot Day Centre, a local partnership offering a day service for the elderly. The service includes a hot meal and the chance to socialise over delicious pastries and cakes prepared by our pastry chefs. The grounds team maintaining their gardens and spa experts offers complimentary spa treatments such as monthly manicures. We also regularly invite the group to Coworth Park’s drawing room for our legendary afternoon tea.
- Regular cake bake sales for our charity partners, regularly raising £500 – with fierce competition for best tasting cake!
As part of our commitment to developing students into hospitality, we offer 10-day work experience placements across many departments in all our hotels, which is accredited by Springboard’s ‘Inspire’ initiative. Additionally, we have partnerships with local schools, such as Charters School and The Marist School in Berkshire, inviting young students to consider hospitality as a career. We give these students their first experience of work and assist the schools in regular donations and prizes, inviting parents to meet the hotel team, along with regular recruitment fairs and open days.
Our environmental commitment is evident in Coworth Park’s design, which makes it one of the most environmentally-advanced hotels of its kind. For example, to reduce energy consumption there is a biomass boiler within an underground energy centre, which is fuelled by burning willow grown on the estate – a first for a UK hotel.
The willow, with a three-year growth cycle, ensures that the hotel is able to produce its own carbon-neutral fuel supply, while cooling for the hotel is provided by underground pipes known as ‘slinkys’. These are significantly more efficient than conventional air-cooled or water-cooled chilled water systems.
Solar glazing is used in the main hotel and converted stable block and all rain and surface water is recycled by draining into the lake for irrigation. The sunken garden, dating back to the 18th century, was restored to its former glory. The Spa at Coworth Park was predominately constructed from timber with a carbon-negative lime hemp spine and external walls; it is a green and sustainable building that emerges from the existing hillside to provide an eco-luxury spa, with low energy requirements. When choosing a career at Coworth Park, you know the environment and local community are in safe hands.
