We welcomed Natalie Rudland from Alexander James Interiors, who hosted a short talk over lunch to reveal how understanding scale can transform your home interiors. Sharing her expert knowledge of this often-overlooked aspect of design, she’ll took guests through new ways of planning their furniture layout, artwork displays and accessories, all with the aim of achieving ideal proportions and balance.

A gifted counsellor and life coach, Susie Johns has a unique talent for combining knowledge with intuition. Her empowering workshops have earned worldwide success, so it’s our pleasure to have welcomed her for a masterclass in graphology – also known as the study of handwriting. Over lunch guests discovered what their writing style says about them, as together they closely studied every slant and stroke.

With a 16-year career in the beauty industry, including 11 years editing Tatler’s cosmetic surgery guide, Olivia Falcon’s knowledge is second to none. We were delighted to welcome her as she discussed The Editor’s List, which offers advice on the best practitioners and procedures. Having tried every product and non-invasive treatment under the sun, she revealed the key ingredients to look out for.

As a keen tennis player and tennis presenter on women’s professional events, Mark Curry is an expert when it comes to the women’s game. Our speaker event focused on the talents of women at Wimbledon, as Mark discussed the history of the stars from the early days to the present, and of course, the world champions.
For an expert florist’s insights into the top floral trends this summer, we welcomed Sue Barnes from Lavender Green Flowers. She presented beautiful decoration ideas for summer parties and weddings, and how to choose the perfect flowers for your home.

Attendees learned the art of beautiful gift wrapping with a fun speaker event and interactive masterclass hosted by Jane Means, popularly known as the ‘Gift Wrap Guru’.
Over a three-course lunch, Jane shared tales from her 15-year career as a designer and TV personality, and discussed her favourite projects for clients including Dior, Fortnum & Mason and Selfridges. After lunch there was a pop-up shop for buying wrapping essentials and Jane’s book, Giftwrapped, before attendees received a goody bag to take home.
Famed for its vibrant collection of woven baskets, clutches and accessories, Rae Feather has become one of the UK’s most exciting fashion brands, named ‘one to watch’ by Walpole’s Brands of Tomorrow. Joining us for lunch, Rae shared the remarkable story behind the brand and gave attendees the chance to get hands-on by adding their own personal monograms and special messages to luxury leather items.
After lunch, there was also a pop-up shop for picking up some lovely gifts – just in time for Christmas.
Skincare with flower power
Inspired by a passion for natural ingredients and cruelty-free cosmetics, Chantecaille sets the standard in botanical beauty. Here to show us the products in action, we welcomed the brand’s international makeup artist, Harvey Tsao, who offered a bespoke colour-matching service and a masterclass in creating your own radiant ‘day to evening’ makeup look. Attendees also received a goodie bag of products to enjoy at home.
Seasonal Masterclass and Lunch with Adam Smith
As summer draws to a close, a fresh harvest of autumn ingredients is ripe and ready to enjoy. Our Michelin-starred chef Adam Smith taught attendees how to prepare new dishes with an exclusive cookery masterclass in the kitchens, during which they prepared, cooked and enjoyed a delicious three-course lunch.

Joining us to discuss the remarkable therapeutic benefits, head of education Christina Salcedas hosted a fascinating workshop, showing us how different oil blends can be used to boost emotional and physical wellbeing.

Described as the ‘Queen of Weddings’, Brides Magazine editor Jade Beer is an expert in the world of wedding planning. We were delighted to welcome Jade as she read an extract of her highly anticipated debut novel, The Almost Wife, due to be published on June 20. She talked about her experience writing and discussed the latest trends inspired by the royal wedding.
Learn to master the latest millinery styles
To help attendees master the latest hairstyles for hats with the start of the British social season, we welcomed the talented team from Carol Joy London hairdressing, including creative director Nico Noviello, salon manager Carlos Rodrigues and hair-up specialist Vivienne Romani, who demonstrated four stunning styles for weddings, special occasions and, of course, Royal Ascot.
The royal treatment for English sparkling wine
Following a special invitation from Royal Farms in 2011, Laithwaite’s Wine began an exciting new project creating a private vineyard on the royal Windsor estate, which now thrives with 19,000 vines. We were delighted to welcome general manager Anne Linder to host our speaker event, as she shared the story of the project and gave attendees a chance to taste the award-winning English Quality sparkling wine.

Monique Lee Milliner - Exclusive Launch of Hat Collection
Monique Lee is a London based award winning MA Fashion Womenswear Design graduate from London College of Fashion. As the designer of stunning hand-created hats, Monique’s collections have appeared in many fashion editorials including Vogue, Tatler and The Daily Telegraph and been exhibited at prestigious events such as London Fashion Week and the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Her creations have been worn by fashionistas, celebrities and private clients to events such as Royal Ascot in the Royal Enclosure.

Following Joa’s inspirational guide to using colour, guests will enjoy a champagne reception and three-course lunch in Restaurant Coworth Park, where executive chef Adam Smith creates delicious seasonal food.

At the end of the Five Mile Road in Jersey’s coastal parish of St. Ouen, you will find Jersey Pearl. It’s here that the Taylor family spend much of their time studying their favourite organic gems. They’ve discovered incredible stories from the invention of pearl farming, to the development of new culturing techniques and pearl types. Countless trips to far-flung waters have introduced them to the farmers, stringers, biologists and historians who share their dedication to pearls. Jersey Pearl recently opened their first UK store in Market Cross House, the ‘Crooked House’ of Windsor.

Sue Barnes returned to share her in-depth floristry knowledge with guests and gave tips on creating the most spectacular flower arrangements for the festive season. Sue has an enviable reputation as being one of the very best florists in London, with more than two decades experience in the industry.
Adam Smith - Christmas Made Easy
Coworth Park’s new executive chef Adam Smith gave some great tips for making your Christmas preparations easier this year. This lunch included a gift of one of Adam’s famous Christmas puds. As a former Observer Food Monthly Young Chef of the Year, Craft Guild of Chefs Restaurant Chef of the Year and Roux Scholarship Winner, Chef Adam Smith is rightly considered ‘one to watch’ by the UK’s leading chefs including Michel Roux. With a mantra throughout his career that ‘taste is king’ Adam began working at The Ritz rising from 2nd commis to executive sous chef before moving to The Devonshire Arms. During this time The Burlington Restaurant was the only new restaurant to be awarded a coveted four AA rosettes in the January 2015 guide.
Carol Peace -
Carol Peace is an award-winning sculptor whose work can be found in the tranquil grounds of Coworth Park’s estate. Her successful career has involved exhibitions across the UK and abroad, numerous public and private commissions, and her own solo shows in London, Athens, Zurich and beyond. Using disciplines and observation skills derived from life drawing, Carol sculpts in clay before casting in bronze or iron resin. Carol has recently added five new bronze sculptures which have been excellently received by our guests.
Sophie Conran -
Sophie Conran is an English interior designer, cook and author, as well as a working mother of two. She has turned her love of cooking and home in to her work, inspired by her father, Sir Terence Conran, and her mother, Caroline Conran. Sophie spoke about her life and her career; how she has got to where she is now, what influenced her whilst she was growing up as well as what inspires her now, and how she has developed and grown her business.
HRH Princess Michael of Kent
Alongside being a member of the British Royal Family, Her Royal Highness Princess Michael of Kent is a writer, historian, interior designer and art consultant. Since focusing her efforts upon writing, The Princess has become a best-selling author, releasing several royal-inspired books, including The Queen Of Four Kingdoms and The Serpent and the Moon: Two Rivals for the Love of a Renaissance King.
Martin Hulbert is one of the UK’s top interior designers and the creator of the stunning interiors at Coworth Park, which won the 2011 House & Garden Pineapple Award for hotel design, described by the magazine as ‘a glorious combination of comfort, elegance, slight eccentricity, originality and appropriateness to its setting’. Martin is also responsible for the glamorous Dorchester Spa and many other extraordinary hotels and private homes around the world.
One of London’s favourite chefs, David McIntyre, hosted our first speaker event of 2016. As executive chef for Wolfgang Puck’s London restaurant, CUT at 45 Park Lane, David talked about his career and life at the top of his game. McIntyre began his career at the Culinary Institute of America where he took classes in cooking principles and flavour dynamics. He moved to Spago in 1997 where he met Wolfgang Puck marking the beginning of a strong culinary relationship. Eventually, he relocated from the United States to London with his family in 2011 to launch CUT at 45 Park Lane, Wolfgang Puck’s first European restaurant which opened to critical acclaim.
