In keeping with Dorchester Collection’s continuous investment in taking the luxury experience to new levels, one of Rome’s most famous and iconic hotels, Hotel Eden, will close to undergo a major restoration from 1 November 2015.
The extensive project will unveil 99 spacious guestrooms and suites, and will offer a captivating and dynamic food and drink concept with enhanced panoramic views across the Eternal City. Hotel Eden will also introduce a new urban spa featuring spa suites, with a fusion of pampering signature treatments, beauty, and wellness offerings including a blow-dry bar.
The restoration will blend contemporary features with the charm and authentic classic Roman style of the property. Interior designers, Bruno Moinard of 4BI & Associates and Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku, from Jouin Manku, have been appointed to the project.
Moinard, who previously completed the redesign of some of the public spaces at Hôtel Plaza Athénée as well as The Grill at The Dorchester in 2014, will oversee the interior decoration of the lobby, rooms and suites. Jouin Manku has been entrusted with the restoration of the restaurants and bar on the sixth floor and the spa.
Hotel Eden will close for the restoration project and looks forward to welcoming its employees back, ensuring guest recognition and seamless service for the reopening in autumn 2016.
General manager, Luca Virgilio, comments: “Hotel Eden has a rich heritage and prominent location in the heart of Rome. While it continues to rank as one of the top hotels in the world, the restoration programme will revitalise the property and lead it into its next chapter. Our vision is to create a property that will continue to enchant both local residents and international travellers alike.”
