Classic cars at The Dorchester
As a British icon itself, it’s only fitting that The Dorchester has a fleet of its own classic British cars.Let us introduce you.
Travel in style
We’re delighted to unveil four new additions to our car collection, each available for luxury transfers, sightseeing trips or simply making a grand entrance at a special occasion. Whether you choose the timeless glamour of a Rolls-Royce or the illustrious Daimler limousine, we believe there’s only one way to travel: in style.
When choosing the calibre of cars we wanted associated with The Dorchester, we knew they needed to represent our hotel in every way. That’s why they are all quintessentially British classics, each with their own history and an esteemed reputation for glamour and prestige.
1964 Rolls-Royce Phantom V Limousine in Midnight Blue Metallic
This is the ultimate classic car to see you through London’s stylish scene and perfectly embodies the gracefulness of The Dorchester. Princess Margaret once owned this very Phantom V and famously gifted it to her actor friend Richard Harris.
1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud 3 in Garnet over Silver Sand
This final edition of the Silver Cloud series was ahead of its time and today its sleek appearance still enjoys enduring appeal. Designed for high-speed comfortable riding, the car is regarded as one of the most classic Rolls-Royce models ever built. This particular car left England for sunny California in 1977 for 40 pampered years, with one careful owner, but is now back living the life in London.
1958 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud 1 in Georgian Silver over Shell Gray
Widely regarded as one of the most distinguished cars ever made by Rolls-Royce, our rare edition always turns heads. This hand-built masterpiece is the oldest car in the fleet and features an opulent red leather interior that exudes glamour.
1990 Daimler 4.2 DS420 Vanden Plas in Westminster Blue
These cars are favoured by the British Royal Family and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother was known for owning several of them. This model is famous for featuring in the James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies, which saw the car caught up in a memorable speed chase. The Daimler has been favoured by many of The Dorchester’s celebrity guests over the years, making it a part of our history and now our future too.
