Dorchester Collection legends

August 05, 2022

Thanks to all of our incredible people, our hotels are where memorable stories continue to be written and legends are made. Here we invite you to discover some of our own Dorchester Collection legends who epitomise this.
Clair Ratcliffe-Speakman, Head Doorman at Coworth Park
Coworth Park

Clair Ratcliffe-Speakman

Our bubbly head doorperson offers a refreshing welcome as you step through the doors of our Coworth Park mansion house. Clair is the master when it comes to anticipating everyone’s needs, knowing instantly whether you want to fast track to your room or take time to chat. She can see when someone would appreciate a pair of soft slippers after spending a day at the races or needs a hot honey and lemon to ease their sniffles. Guests have even been known to extend their stay to ensure they get to chat with her.

Hotel Eden

Stefano Briganti

Stefano personifies perfectly the lively, funny, sparkling soul of Rome. After nearly 30 years at Hotel Eden, the friendly, outgoing barman still has a joke ready to bring smiles to guests’ faces as they unwind at the bar. Recognised by regulars and quickly warmed to by new guests, Stefano delivers delicious drinks to suit each individual. He’s the master of understanding, keeper of secrets and always picks up on what people prefer. With Stefano you’re in safe hands.

Arnel Ramirez, Director of Purchasing at The Beverly Hills Hotel
The Beverly Hills Hotel

Arnel Ramirez

Whether he’s ensuring there are plenty of fluffy towels for lounging poolside, or fresh lobster for your celebratory dinner, our director of purchasing Arnel is always ahead of the curve at The Beverly Hills Hotel. Having won ‘Manager of the Year’ and been working away behind-the-scenes with us for nearly 27 years, he’s admired by his colleagues and appreciated for bringing our guests the best of everything. His skill and determination make each guest stay seamless.

45 Park Lane

Niamh Larkin

Niamh’s passion for pastry is well known as she’s been creating sweet treats at 45 Park Lane since its opening in 2011. Having also worked at our UK sister hotels, The Dorchester and Coworth Park, our executive pastry chef Niamh knows Dorchester Collection like the back of her hand. She’s truly devoted to baking, continuing her love of learning at home, experimenting with new ways to recreate personal favourites for her guests to enjoy. Special occasions at the hotel are what really inspire her and she adores creating ‘wow-factor’ moments.

Louise Prévost

In 16 years at Hôtel Plaza Athénée, our director of guest relations Louise has never lived two days alike. Her personality and the nature of her role enable her to create unique stories with guests on a daily basis, which she considers a true privilege. Louise is empathetic, dynamic and positive, and loves the way that guests’ life milestones are not just celebrated in the moment, but form part of Plaza’s history. She’s the perfect embodiment of the hotel’s values of trust and creative thinking.

Hotel Principe di Savoia

Modesto Guerra

Over the past 30 years, our assistant head concierge Modesto has built a remarkable reputation behind the concierge desk at Hotel Principe di Savoia. He was originally born in England but raised in Milan and likes nothing more than sharing stories of the city’s great charm. His intricate knowledge means he’s always able to come up with fresh suggestions on things to do and places to see. His natural affinity for human connection is clear for all to see and helps him provide perfect suggestions for the ultimate Milanese experience.

She loves nothing more than meeting new people and welcoming back familiar faces by their name. Having built lasting connections, she’s often referred to by guests as being part of their family. People come to catch up with Lucinda before settling in to enjoy a delicious dining experience.

Le Meurice

François Lenne

At Le Meurice, our director of front of house and guest services François knows everyone, and everyone knows François. Enthusiastic and exuberant to everyone who enters the hotel, he has unmatched passion for his role behind the guest services desk. François is someone who enjoys the engaging experience of meeting new people and welcoming back familiar faces. His instincts always challenge him to find new ways to surprise and delight our guests.
