Eden Fine Art comes to Hôtel Plaza Athénée
This month sees the arrival of Eden Fine Art at Hôtel Plaza Athénée. The international art gallery collection, with locations in some of the world’s most iconic cities, will be collaborating with us to showcase installations from two artists, for a new and exciting celebration of colour.
Dorit Levinstein’s installation, on display outside the hotel until the end of the year, is a vibrant introduction to this unique collaboration.
Taking inspiration from Renoir’s Dance in the Country, Levinstein’s Renoir Dancers features three-dimensional bronze sculptures hand-painted in vivid colours, creating an illusion of dynamic, rhythmic movement.
In contrast, artist SN will present 10 of his fantastical creations which capture a passion for nature, and create a stunning dream-like aesthetic with wild beauty. While his previous work focused primarily on photography, SN’s latest collection explores new terrain using drawing and colour.
Capturing the synchronised harmony between nature and fantasy, the colourful pieces feature detailed drawings meticulously finished with dehydrated butterflies. This allows the image to take on a life of its own, testament to SN’s unique artistic vision.
Highlights from the collection include a charcoal and pencil drawing of the late David Bowie, whose face is layered with colourful butterflies, and acrylic drawing White Batman, detailed with tiny, yellow butterflies, giving a contrast to a seemingly dark image.
The exhibition will be on display at La Cour Jardin at Hôtel Plaza Athénée from September 20 to November 15, 9am–8pm.
