Blooming lovely
I’m absolutely delighted with our new rose, its colour perfectly complements the interior tones of the hotel and the flower’s open shape makes it unique. I’m really enjoying seeing these exceptional roses looking so splendid in our floral arrangements throughout The Dorchester.

Worth the wait
This exciting project to create ‘The Dorchester Rose’ has been a long time coming but well worth the wait. From my first meeting with the team it took seven years to develop our rose. The research and development team tested various blends of their popular ‘Avalanche’ varieties in order to achieve the desired characteristic we were looking for.

What makes it so special?
This specially selected rose is blousy in composition and has a pale blush colouring, with the pink tone gaining more colour as the rose gradually opens up. When you see it against the backdrop of The Dorchester, you really appreciate how it complements our timeless interiors.
On the look out
The Dorchester Rose will be showcased and celebrated at The Dorchester throughout the year, from the vast urns that grace the hotel to the arrangements our guests find in their suites. On average we incorporate around 50,000 stems a year in our displays, including the many private parties and weddings held at the hotel, so there’s plenty to look out for.
