Fashion inspired by the Pink Palace with The SIL creator, Natalie Bloomingdale

November 12, 2018

At The Beverly Hills Hotel we’ve teamed up with fashion guru Natalie Bloomingdale, creator of The SIL – aka ‘The Stuff I Love’. With a team of talented designers, the SIL’s first capsule collection pays homage to the iconic design of our beloved hotel.

Fashion forward

The SIL, a sought-after fashion destination, is the brain-child of Natalie Bloomingdale. Together with her team of carefully selected designers she’s created our first capsule collection, inspired by the famous pink façade and classic green & white stripes. In celebration of the launch, we asked the designers to tell a little about their new creations.

The Beverly Hills Hotel is a very happy place for me.

“Merely driving by the ‘Pink Palace’ on Sunset Boulevard brings a smile to my face, so when I created The SIL I knew I wanted to involve The Beverly Hills Hotel. Having seen what our designers have created, I’m really delighted to launch this very special collection inspired by the hotel.”

“The Beverly Hills Hotel is the quintessence of Hollywood glamour and who doesn’t want to be a part of that! I am so thrilled to be asked by The SIL to be a part of the very first capsule collection with the hotel – such an honour and such fun to do. The only thing that was hard with this project, was narrowing down the wealth of inspiration conjured by this timeless, iconic place.”

Molly Moorkamp

“It was a dream to collaborate with The SIL on an exclusive piece for The Beverly Hills Hotel. If a film star asked me what to wear to the Polo Lounge…, this is what I would have sent over right before the first martini was stirred.”

“The Beverly Hills Hotel is the definition of iconic, so it was quite an undertaking to merge all of my ideas and inspiration into one piece. The Natalie Earrings are my way of marrying the classic aspects of the hotel with the modern beauty it embodies. The ivory pearl studs with hunter green grosgrain bow are the perfect way to showcase the hotel’s historic colour. I love the idea that old and new Hollywood could now be seen wearing the Natalie Earrings at the hotel.”

“All of my pieces are named after the beautiful women that wear them. The Barbara Top is named after a quintessential Texan lady. Barbara represents a grace and dignity that shines above her stunning beauty. The luxuriousness of the green corduroy and the touch of pink and cream is, of course, in honour of the iconic Pink Palace.”

“When I think of The Beverly Hills Hotel – I think pink!  The classic silhouette of the leather Elle Bag has an old world feel with a modern vibe, which is just like the hotel. It’s a very fitting tribute I think.”

Invitation to the preview: November 14 and 15.
To celebrate the launch of The SIL’s capsule collection, we’re hosting an exclusive shopping event and we’d love to see you there. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet the designers and preview the collection in one of our famous bungalows.
