Recipe for an idyllic summer day
August 27, 2019
We can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon than lounging poolside with a refreshing drink in hand.
Making a splash
Our famous pool at The Beverly Hills Hotel dates back to 1938. When it first opened it was known as ‘The Sand and Pool Club’ and had real sand to give it a true beach club vibe. It’s been a favourite place to be in LA ever since. Nowadays, the sand is gone but the sparkle remains.

Poolside lounging
When you’ve chosen your preferred spot we’ll pull up a sun lounger for you and invite you to indulge in poolside dining. Alternatively, settle into one of our cool cabanas, each named after a popular area of Los Angeles including Brentwood and Hollywood. For the ultimate experience there’s also our ‘Le Refuge’ daybed designed by artist Marc Ange, strike a pose and we’ll take a Polaroid snapshot of you to capture the moment.

Co-Co Cabana cocktail
For those times when you long for a taste of The Beverly Hills Hotel but can’t visit us, here’s the recipe for our much-loved Co-Co Cabana cocktail. Close your eyes and imagine yourself in 90210 surrounded by gently swaying palm trees.
Ingredients
1oz premium dark rum
1oz Bacardi rum
1oz coconut-flavoured rum
2oz coconut syrup
One fresh coconut
Method
Scoop out the inside of a fresh coconut and set aside 2-3oz of the coconut water. Combine the coconut water with the other liquid ingredients and add a little ice. Pour the mixture into the coconut and garnish with a cocktail umbrella. Cheers!
