Newly-restored Belle Etoile Suite has the finest view of Paris

August 23, 2019

Le Meurice’s crowning glory has undergone a total transformation. The penthouse Belle Etoile Suite is now a gleaming masterpiece of style, craftsmanship and innovation. Let us introduce you to Parisian apartment living as you’ve never seen it before.

The suite of dreams

True to her name, the Belle Etoile Suite is quite simply beautiful. Every detail has been carefully chosen by design studio Lally & Berger, to create a breathtaking setting and complement the incredible terrace with a unique 360° view of Paris.

Make yourself at home

Together the suite and garden cover an impressive 620m²/6,674ft², including up to three connecting bedrooms, making it one of the most spacious suites in Paris. All the rooms have large windows for a light and airy feel, drawing your eyes to appreciate the city landscape. When it comes to relaxing, take your place in the cinema-style sitting area, where the flexible furniture set-up can be configured to suit your requirements and ensure you feel instantly at home.

Thoughtfully designed

The Belle Etoile Suite is a dream realised for young talents Margaux Lally and Luc Berger, working with Charles Jouffres, the team who designed the hotel’s Pompadour Suite. The couple were inspired by the vision of creating a modern-day Versailles and making the most of the amazing vistas. Shades of bronze and gold, mixed with the subtle patina of lightly-aged oak, play out in this stunning suite. The lavish soft furnishings entice you further, all courtesy of the prestigious Jouffre Ateliers Créatifs.

Exquisite craftsmanship

Paris made the perfect muse for our designers, who crafted every delicate detail in tribute to the city. The hand-painted clouds in the ‘boudoir’ entrance hall give an ethereal feeling of stepping into the clouds. Highly-skilled French craftsmanship is showcased throughout, such as the bespoke staircase inspired by the branches of the Tuileries Garden trees.

Artisanal touches

Attractive artisanal touches include Holland & Sherry embroidery, sumptuous Brabbu furniture and Meljac fittings. Colourful contemporary artworks by Carole Benzaken complete the appeal. Another highlight is the majestic marble bathroom, a vast space filled with natural daylight thanks to three windowed walls, featuring a whirlpool bathtub and the most incredible views of Montmartre and the Sacré-Coeur.

A garden paradise

So much more than a terrace, the suite’s expansive outdoor space is a beautiful private garden, where you’re transported to a haven of greenery inspired by the Tuileries Garden below. Landscape designer Pierre-Alexandre Risser is the creative mastermind behind the garden. For him, this was about choosing the perfect shapes, textures and beautiful blooms to create a haven in the heart of an urban metropolis.

A view to rival all others

Crowning our famous Mansard roof, the suite’s vast terrace garden makes you feel as if Paris were for your eyes only. On a fine day this is the only sightseeing you’ll need – taking in the Parisian rooftops and all the iconic landmarks including the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Sacré-Coeur, Musée d’Orsay and Eiffel Tower. And, after the magnificent sunsets, the landscape twinkles on in the darkness, ever splendid.
