Famous façade
Dating back to 1931, our grand building exudes luxury from the moment you step foot onto the forecourt. The famous façade has changed little over its 90-year history but it is regularly decorated by our designer florist, Phil Hammond, to create an impressive backdrop for your photos. You’ll also notice our friendly doormen in their striking green uniform, who are more than happy to pose for you.

Time for tea
Our delectable afternoon tea in The Promenade is one of the most sought-after experiences at The Dorchester. From tantalising picture-perfect pastries to the tea ceremony itself, you’ll find no shortage of great photo opportunities, not to mention a wonderful way to while away an afternoon.

Rooftop views
For a fresh angle on the joys of Hyde Park, come up to The Dorchester Rooftop pop-up restaurant. Not only will you enjoy a memorable dining experience but the views from this scenic spot are well worth snapping for your social media feed. The glorious golden light at sunset makes for particularly great shots.

Memorable breakfast
One of the many treats of staying with us is the indulgence of having your breakfast brought to you. Our team take great pride in setting up the in-room dining breakfast tables, which means everything is perfectly placed for a fabulous photo. Try a classic overhead shot or choose the most flattering angle of you want to star in the photo yourself. Don’t take too long though, we wouldn’t want your breakfast to get cold.

Suite success
Our namesake Dorchester Suites are one of our most loved suites, and in photos it’s easy to see why. With a mix of classical and modern features, these suites provide a truly elegant background. You’ll also love the chaise long in our bedrooms, which lend a chic feel to any pose.

Take to the tub
Many guests marvel at the fact that they can’t visit The Dorchester without having a dip in our luxurious marble baths, which are said to be the deepest in London. Fill generously with bath foam and take a picture from a low angle for a modest yet wonderfully glamorous shot. Alternatively, we can arrange for a flower bath for you to capture the perfect shot of the petals laying on the surface of the water.
Festive delights
Christmas is a very special time at The Dorchester, when the hotel is transformed with a whole host of festive decorations to capture on camera. The main attraction is our enchanting Christmas tree situated in pride of place in the lobby, so you’ll see it as soon as you step foot in the hotel. We also have snowflake images projected onto the façade, which make for some truly magical evening shots.
