Frequently asked questions

1. What time is check-in/out?

Check-in is available from 3pm and check-out by 12 noon.

2. Can I check-in early?

If you’ll be arriving early, we’re pleased to offer complimentary early check-in upon availability. However, to guarantee availability during busy periods, we recommend you book the previous night.

3. Can I check-out late?

We’d love for you to prolong your stay with us. Late check-out before 2pm is complimentary, subject to availability. After 2pm, there is an additional charge of 50% of your room/suite rate, and a 100% charge after 6pm.

4. Can I depart early?

We understand that plans can change, so we just ask that you provide notice if departing the hotel before your check-out date. This is complimentary with 24 hours’ notice, or charged at one night’s room rate.

5. Can I add an extra bed?

If you’d like to add an extra bed in your room or suite, we’ll be happy to arrange this for €100 per night (from 13 years of age). Additional cots are complimentary for children under three.

6. What is the dress code?

We have a ‘smart casual’ dress code in our bar and restaurants, so we kindly ask that you refrain from wearing caps, ripped jeans, sportswear, trainers or shorts.
At Jean Imbert au Plaza Athénée jackets are required for gentlemen.

7. What is the smoking policy?

For the comfort of our guests, we have a no-smoking policy throughout the hotel.

8. What is the photography policy?

If you’d like to arrange a photoshoot at the hotel, please send a request to [email protected] Please note that unplanned and unauthorised professional photoshoots or video shoots in the hotel public spaces or outlets are not permitted.

9. Does the hotel allow pets?

We’re pleased to welcome up to two small dogs (max 7kg/15lbs) for €35 per day (to cover a deep-clean post-stay). Your special guests will even be spoiled with a dog bed, bowl and treats throughout their stay.

We do ask that they remain in your room while you visit Le Bar, Jean Imbert au Plaza Athénée, La Cour Jardin, La Terrasse Montaigne and the spa, or in a carrier at La Galerie and Relais Plaza. Please also keep them on a leash or carrier when moving around the hotel. Our concierge team can arrange a pet-sitter if you need one – just give us 24 hours’ notice.

We’re sure they’ll be on their best behaviour, but please take responsibility for cleaning up after your dog and minimising barking. You will be charged for any dog-related damages.

Of course, service dogs are welcome throughout the hotel.

10. Is the hotel accessible?

We have six accessible suites at the hotel, including four Junior Suites, one Deluxe Suite and one Prestige Suite. Each has wide 90cm doors, with accessible bathroom facilities such as a sliding shower door and handrails.
There are three elevators in the hotel, including access to the spa, and all the restaurants offer wheelchair access. Le Relais Plaza is accessible directly from the street.

11. What are the parking options?

12. What are the bed sizes?

Our generously sized beds at Hôtel Plaza Athénée are designed entirely around your comfort. For an indication of measurements, please see below:

King-size – 200 x 210cm (79 x 83”)
Queen – 140 x 210cm (55 x 83”)
Twin – 90 x 210cm (35 x 83”)

13. Which TV channels are available?

14. What are the accepted payment methods?

We accept cash, American Express, MasterCard, VISA and Diners Club. Please note we cannot accept payments by cheque.

15. Is tax included?

VAT is included in the rate but a 5% employee benefit charge is not included. An additional city tax of €5 per person, per night, applies.

16. Does the hotel take group bookings?

If you’d like to organise a party, meeting or event with us, we just ask that you book a minimum of ten rooms (without banqueting) or seven rooms (with banqueting). For more information, please visit our meetings & events page.
