A warm welcome

For your first days with Dorchester Collection, you’ll take part in ‘Engage’, our unique induction programme. It’s a chance to get to know the hotels, meet your general manager and enjoy a complete tour of the rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas. You’ll learn our company values and better understand who we are as a collection.

Delivering the ultimate guest service

During your first three months, we’ll introduce you to our standards through a series of core skills learning sessions. You’ll learn how to deliver the ultimate guest service, advanced communication skills, and what to do when things go wrong. For your own personal development, you’ll also receive two-way feedback on your performance.

Becoming a leader

‘Lead’ is our development programme which shows you the ropes of leadership. It consists of nine classroom days spread over one year, with activities to complete in between. After the course you’ll have the skills and confidence to lead your team in line with our mission and values.

Designed for heads of department and high potential managers, ‘Expand’, is a truly unique development experience. Over three days you’ll enjoy a holistic training programme where you discover yourself and learn how to positively impact your team and business performance.

Taking time to reflect

How do you perform as a leader? How could you improve? When you become an executive with Dorchester Collection, you’ll attend our innovative development and reflection week, where you’ll receive 360 feedback and personality profiles to learn about who you are as a leader.


We believe the best way to learn is by gaining hands-on experience. That’s why we’ve tailored our development programmes to give you unique access to different areas of the business.

If you’re a graduate or undergraduate looking to enter the world of hospitality, our internships help you develop your skills across different departments. Each internship lasts 3 – 12 months.


Ultimate Leaders Programme

If you aspire to become a leader within the hospitality industry, our Ultimate Leaders Programme gives you the skills and confidence to succeed. Each programme lasts 12 – 24 months and involves practical experience in different areas of the business.
