Statement on anti-slavery and human trafficking

Dorchester Collection is committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our supply chains or in any other part of our business. We expect the same commitment from our contractors, suppliers and other business partners. Our full Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy can be seen here.


As a leading international hotel group, we purchase goods and services from many different parts of the world.


As part of our contracting process with our business partners, we will include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children, and we expect that our business partners will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.


We will implement due diligence procedures for all prospective contractors, suppliers and other business partners, and will require our business partners to initiate their own procedures and checks. We will require our business partners to provide an annual certificate of compliance with our Policy on anti-slavery and human trafficking, and reserve the right to conduct audits of our business partners’ premises to ensure they are compliant.
We reserve the right to terminate our relationship with any of our business partners if cases of non-compliance are found, or if non-compliance is not addressed in a timely manner.


We will regularly monitor and assess the risk of slavery or human trafficking in any part of our supply chains, and conduct internal training to ensure that our Policy on anti-slavery and human trafficking is fully understood. We will expect our business partners to adopt similar procedures.


This Policy Statement has been approved on behalf of the Board of each of our operating companies, and will be reviewed and published annually.

Dorchester retirement benefit scheme (DRBS)

The Statement of Investment Principles (SIP) sets out the principles which govern the Trustees’ decisions regarding investing the assets of the Dorchester Limited Retirement Benefit Scheme, and how the Scheme meets the relevant legislative requirements.

Transparency in coverage

The below link leads to the machine readable files provided by Cigna insurance that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.

Better Chicken Commitment

Dorchester Collection signed up to the Better Chicken Commitment (BCC) in 2021 for all European operations and are pleased to report on our progress so far. The table linked below gives an overview of where the business is at as a whole, but we are pleased to confirm that two of our locations fully comply with the BCC and 50% of our suppliers are also meeting BCC standards for the products they supply to us. We will work with our suppliers for further improvements and will report on further progress in a year's time.

We’re committed to working only with carefully selected suppliers, and to creating transparency in our supply process – and as part of this companywide approach, we’re very proud to say that all of the eggs we use across Dorchester Collection are 100% cage-free.
