Jean Imbert au Plaza Athénée
A spectacle, an adventure, an unforgettable experience. Prepare to embark on an immersive journey back to the ancient heart of French gastronomy, in our Michelin-starred restaurant led by visionary chef Jean Imbert.

Back to the beginning
Inspired by the great traditions of French gastronomy, chef Jean Imbert creates a dining experience that transcends time and place, returning you to the soulful origins of French dining. The chef makes a tribute to the rich history of our unique restaurant, while giving it a vibrant new glow.

Cuisine de Patrimoine
Jean Imbert unearths ancient recipes – some 250 years old – to celebrate France’s rich culinary heritage. He presents a playful ode to heritage cuisine, one that crosses trends and centuries while remaining deeply modern.

Sheer splendour
The door marks your entry point to this world within a world, where everything centres around a grand Royal Table crafted from antique Breccia marble. Adorning the room with 20,000 gold leaves and a gilded ceiling, designer Remi Tessier has created a shining jewel of a restaurant, with a warm, convivial atmosphere.

Jean Imbert
Voted Chef of the Year 2019 by GQ and one of the 50 Most Influential French People by Vanity Fair. Jean Imbert’s vision is to restore the glory of ancient French cuisine, with a new energy and vibrant soul.

Angelo Musa and Elisabeth Hot
When it comes to dessert, Angelo Musa and Elisabeth Hot make the perfect duo. Angelo Musa is our award-winning pastry chef who adds his own twist of personality to every creation. In September 2021, Elisabeth Hot joined the team, following her experience with renowned chefs Pierre Hermé, Jean-George Klein and Marc Haeberlin. Together with Jean Imbert, the pair create our wonderful cakes, pastries and desserts.

Denis Courtiade
The warm, seamless service is orchestrated by our award-winning restaurant manager, Denis Courtiade. In over 20 years at the hotel, Denis has created a signature style of service for his guests, where traditions of hospitality meet a contemporary art of living.

A little of everything
Our chefs find their inspiration in traditional French recipes, such as their ‘L’Ambassadeur’ almond cake and the ‘Fontainebleau’ made with Ile-de-France milk. But our generous chefs didn’t want to limit their guests to only one dessert, so the menu itself is simply an indication of all the desserts that will arrive like magic on your table.

The perfect pairings
Our carefully curated wine list deserves a spotlight of its own. Led by Laurent Roucayrol, our sommeliers are here to listen, guide and advise you in your choices, recommending the perfect pairings for the menu.

Front-row seats
At our restaurant you’re not simply a guest but a participant at a theatrical culinary performance. From the flambéing and filleting that takes place at your table, every moment of the preparations are carefully scripted, inviting you to enjoy the show as it unfolds before you.
