The record-breaking Netflix show is beloved for spotlighting the best places to eat, drink and entertain in Paris. Discover the Emily in Paris filming locations that feature our legendary Dorchester Collection hotels.

Emily in Paris – and beyond

The Netflix sensation's fourth season concluded with a surprise twist, as Emily Cooper travels to Rome. Beginning her introduction to the historic city, Emily checks in to our stunning Hotel Eden – a worthy choice for the trailblazing marketing executive. We’ve taken the opportunity to reflect on all the beautiful Dorchester Collection spaces that have featured since Emily first arrived in Paris.

Haute Couture Suite at Hôtel Plaza Athénée

Our beautiful Hôtel Plaza Athénée plays a supporting character throughout the show, first appearing in season one, episode seven. Emily chaperones fictional actress Brooklyn Clark during her stay in the glamorous Haute Couture Suite – a space able to satisfy even the most demanding starlet. Furnished with plush, silken interiors in a blend of soft greys and vivid pinks, the Haute Couture Suite is a regular home for fashion icons in real life and on screen, from Celine Dion during her 2019 L'Oréal campaign to Meryl Streep’s formidable Miranda Priestley in The Devil Wears Prada.

A glass of wine at Le Bar

The same episode takes viewers through our grand lobby. Here, Emily shares a spirited exchange with the concierge when she fails to provide the actress’ pseudonym – but we can assure you, our guests never experience as much back-and-forth in real life. Later, we see Emily and Gabriel unwind from their hectic day in the privacy of Le Bar, illuminated by the dream-like ambience of our blue ceiling décor.

Christmas at La Cour Jardin

In season four, episode six, Plaza Athénée returns to the spotlight: this time, showcasing the hotel’s Christmas sparkle. We see Agence Grateau host their first holiday party with a twirl around our glittering ice rink in La Cour Jardin, providing a captivating setting for a first Christmas in Paris. An iconic venue for the most fashionable of Parisian society to celebrate the season, it’s no surprise that the chic marketeers at Agence Grateau would choose La Cour Jardin for their event.

Parisian splendour at Le Meurice

Le Meurice is the second location to be featured in the show. Situated in the desirable Rue de Rivoli, Paris’ heart of history, our palace hotel is a hallmark of Parisian culture.

In season three, episode eight, we watch the inimitable Sylvie Grateau meet Louis de Leon for a business lunch at our Michelin-starred, Versailles-inspired Restaurant le Meurice Alain Ducasse. As the show’s arbiter of taste and style, it’s befitting that Sylvie chooses this remarkable setting for a powerful tête-à-tête with her former boss. Against our magnificent gold and crystal décor, Sylvie glows as she asserts her authority as an influential businesswoman.

A warm Roman welcome

Season four came with a surprise turn – we’re not in Paris anymore. Emily continues her European adventure and in episode nine, Emily in Paris becomes Emily in Rome as she embarks on a thrilling new chapter.

Of course, any well-deserved vacation includes a stay at a luxury hotel. Emily begins her trip by checking into Hotel Eden, moments before being whisked away by Marcello Muratori, her latest love interest.

Breakfast at La Terrazza

We return to Hotel Eden with our glorious rooftop restaurant, La Terrazza, after Sylvie’s arrival in Rome. Set against unparalleled panoramic views of the city, we see the pair share a delectable breakfast of pastries and cakes while they talk business and pleasure.

Suite elegance

In episode ten, there’s a glimpse inside one of our exquisite hotel suites, as Emily takes a call in her ensuite bathroom. In this scene, we were delighted to see our bespoke Dorchester Collection toiletry bottles included in the shot. A momentous sustainability project for us, the refillable porcelain bottles were carefully designed to complement each hotel’s distinctive style. Wildsmith Skin created unique scents for each of our locations – so we can reveal that Emily enjoys the refreshing notes of lemon, jasmine and cedarwood, made specifically for our two Italian properties.

What’s next for Emily in Paris?

As we watch Emily fall in love with (and in) Paris, we like to think she falls in love with our magnificent spaces, too. Providing spectacular settings for pivotal moments in her character arc, the romance, history and energy of Paris is encapsulated in our hotels and underscores Emily’s experience of the city. We can’t wait to see which of our spaces might cameo in season five...
