Bert Stern: Legendary Women

Bert Stern’s glittering 50-year photography career saw him shoot celebrities, movie stars and more. Held in Hotel Bel-Air’s elegant lobby, we’re pleased to present Stern’s images of the legendary women of Hollywood – from Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe to Twiggy, Kate Moss and Iman.

Now – April 15

The exhibition is complimentary and open to the public 7 days a week. All photos are available for purchase through the hotel’s concierge.

Jim Hedges

Meet our curator of the arts

We’re delighted to introduce Jim Hedges, our new curator of the arts. An active art patron for over 30 years, he’s been named by Art & Antiques magazine as one of America’s top 100 collectors – and has acquired more Andy Warhol photography than anyone else in the world.

Add to this his experience on the board of numerous prestigious organisations (including the Museum of Modern Art’s Drawings Acquisition Committee and a stint as National Council Chair for the Aspen Art Museum), and you’ll see why he’s perfectly poised to develop meaningful collaborations with incredible artists from around the globe.

Norman Seeff photography

The walls of The Bar & Lounge at Hotel Bel Air are covered with iconic black & white imagery, by film and photography legend Norman Seeff. The larger-than-life installations add an eye-catching dimension and vibrant energy to the space. These stunning images are the result of several exclusive photo sessions from the 1980s, in which Seeff captured artists and innovators such Cher, Tina Turner and Steve Jobs in unique, unguarded moments. Each image gives the sense of a story revealed.
