HISTORY
A tranquil setting
This former horse-riding ring was the vision of owner Joseph Drown, who transformed the property in the 1940s by personally directing his team of builders and gardeners.
CELEBRITY STATUS
Strike a pose
Marilyn Monroe loved this place, so it’s very fitting that one of her most famous photo shoots for Vogue took place here. Robert Wagner started out his career as one of our pool boys, and we star on Bryan Ferry’s 1974 Another Time, Another Place album cover.
LEGENDARY
Movie location
The opening sequence of the 1965 movie The Silencers sees Dean Martin getting a soaking from his co-star Stella Stevens whilst relaxing beside our pool.

Take your place on a poolside lounger and experience this magical setting for yourself. The pool is open daily for hotel guests from 8am – 6pm with food and drinks served from 8am – 4pm.
