Hotel Bel-Air
The sculpture garden: where art meets nature
Our new art exhibition series, Spatial Elegance – Timeless Horizons, presents sculptures in the peaceful surroundings of the hotel’s lush grounds and scenic gardens. Inspired by these, the interplay of light and the expansive Californian sky, the exhibitions create an immersive and meditative experience.
Exhibition one, Spectral Radiance, showcases seven sculptures by artist Shana Mabari. Central to Mabari’s process is the intersection between art and science, as evidenced by how her work explores the dynamics of visual perception and physical space. Thoughtfully placed in the reception area and Living Room, as well as along the pathway leading to The Restaurant, these vibrant, reflective sculptures create an engaging visual experience. Reflective of the Californian ‘Light and Space’ movement, they're illuminated at night to reveal a beautiful interplay of colours. Until June 15, 2025.
The second exhibition presents works by Michael Wilding, whose fluid abstract sculptures explore the interplay between form and space. Made from materials such as marble and bronze, they're a harmonious blend of natural elements and artistic expression. June 20 to November 9, 2025
Hotel Bel-Air’s final exhibition features two series of sculptures by South-African born artist Jill Berelowitz – one focused on the natural world, and the other on the human form. Known for her bronze, steel and optical resin works, Berelowitz is one of London’s most innovative sculptors. November 13, 2025 to February 15, 2026.
