Best Rate Guarantee terms & conditions
We guarantee you the best available rate when you book a room through an official Dorchester Collection website. If you find a lower publicly available rate (“Lower Rate”) elsewhere within 24-hours of making your booking, we will match the lower rate, subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Reservations must be made through dorchestercollection.com for participating hotels only (does not apply to residences).
- The Lower Rate must be for the same type of accommodation, which means the same room type, at the same hotel, with the same dates and length of stay, same number of guests, with a similar view or room size, same designation as either cancellable or non-cancellable, same advance purchase policies and the same terms and conditions governing the room rate.
- You must complete and submit a claim via the Best Rate Guarantee web form on dorchestercollection.com in accordance with the form’s instructions.
- You must submit your claim within 24-hours of the reservation being made with Dorchester Collection and at least 48-hours before the standard check-in time at the applicable hotel.
- You may submit only one claim for each stay. A “stay” means the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel by the same guest or guests. You must complete the stay.
- Rate comparisons will be made net of taxes, gratuities, service charges, early departure fees, or other fees and incidental charges. Free breakfast and free or discounted amenities or services offered as part of the Lower Rate will be excluded from the rate comparison, and will not be provided by Dorchester Collection when matching the Lower Rate.
- Dorchester Collection reserves the right to deny a claim if it cannot independently verify the availability of a Lower Rate at the time it processes the claim. The Lower Rate must be bookable on another website. Advertised or inquiry-only rates do not qualify.
- Dorchester Collection may at any time and without notice terminate or restrict a person’s ability to submit a claim under or otherwise benefit from the Best Rate Guarantee if it determines that such person has: (a) acted in a manner inconsistent with applicable laws; (b) acted in a fraudulent or abusive manner; (c) submitted multiple invalid claims; (d) failed to stay after receiving approved claims; or (e) breached any of these terms.
- The Best Rate Guarantee does not apply to existing reservations not booked through a Dorchester Collection website, and we are not responsible for fees associated with cancelling reservations made through other channels.
- The Best Rate Guarantee will be suspended during times where dorchestercollection.com or certain rates are unavailable due to outages, technical issues, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
- Claims may be denied where the hotel will no longer operate under Dorchester Collection management on the stay date.
- Disputes shall be handled individually without class action, governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Dorchester Collection reserves the right to amend, revise, suspend, or discontinue the Best Rate Guarantee at any time without prior notice.
Exclusions
The Best Rate Guarantee does not apply to:
- Reservations booked via non-Dorchester Collection websites.
- Packages including hotel, airfare, car rental, food/beverage, or similar amenities.
- Discount/negotiated rates not publicly available, including corporate, government, promotional, unpublished, group, or rates via third-party codes/coupons.
- Auction sites or resold reservations.
- Reservations made within 24-hours of arrival.
- Taxes, gratuities, service charges, early departure fees, or incidental charges.
- Rate disparities due to fluctuations, rounding, or currency exchange.
Claim Process
Submit claims via the Best Rate Guarantee web form on dorchestercollection.com with your booking confirmation and Lower Rate screenshot (showing room, dates, rate, and URL). Claims within 24-hours of booking and at least 48-hours before check-in will be processed within 48-hours.
