Craft of the cocktail

Once a precious secret known only to local Parisians, Bar 228 is now the most sought-after meeting place in the heart of Paris, and the perfect respite from the busy streets of the city.
Here the cocktails mean business but are absolutely all about pleasure. Every barman is a master of the craft, able to mix and shake a new creation just for you, whether it’s a signature Meurice Millennium with Cointreau and champagne, or our twist on a classic Bellini. Alongside this, fine wines and rare Cognacs make up a menu that invites you to linger long into the night.

DESIGN

Designed to be remembered

Philippe Starck has refreshed the famously beautiful room with a brand new Carrara marble bar counter and flashes of pink copper, brass and stainless steel. The dark woods, frescoes and painted ceiling remain, as does the intimate, exclusive atmosphere and wonderful service.
DINING

Something to eat?

The Bar 228 experience is about so much more than cocktails. We’re proud to source fresh, local French ingredients for our daily lunch and dinner menus. Try our signature Club 228 burger or spend an evening sharing grilled antipasti and seafood from the South of France.

Experience

The hideaway

If Restaurant Le Dalí provides the theatre of the social, Bar 228 is its opposing balance. Tucked away from the eyes of the world this is a room to sink into, let your eyes adjust to the sultry lighting and hear little but the murmurings of jazz and low conversation.
