Welcome to the wonderful world of Cédric Grolet, where the World’s Best Pastry Chef shares his bold and beautiful creations in a separate boutique for the first time. Just around the corner from the hotel and open to the public, it’s a space entirely devoted to pastries, cakes and desserts. With his innovative vision, he pairs visual beauty with technical prowess to present a selection of unique desserts, each hand-made on the day. The doors close when the last dessert of the day has been snapped up.

The crème de la crème

World-renowned pastry chef Cédric Grolet is the undisputed master of his art. He joined Le Meurice in 2012, having spent years refining his skills in pastry, chocolate and ice cream in kitchens across France. Multiple awards later, including ‘Best Pastry Chef of the Year’ (Le Chef, 2015), ‘Best Pastry Chef’ (Gault & Millau, 2017) and ‘Best Pastry Chef in the World 2018’ (The World’s 50 Best Restaurants), he’s now a creative force in our kitchen and the mastermind behind our legendary pastries and desserts. Cédric invites you to enter his fantastical world of pastry, where even fruits are not quite as they seem…

A modern touch

Beautiful pastries deserve a beautiful home. To create the boutique, Cédric worked with Ciguë architects to design a space that was modern, chic and perfectly captured his creative vision. The materials they chose – enamelled lava, Hainaut blue stone and blown glass bells – bring an ultra-modern touch to the space.

If you needed an excuse for afternoon tea, Cédric Grolet serves it up in a generous helping. Delicious sandwiches, scones and pastries make it an occasion to remember at Restaurant Le Dalí.

An artist’s touch

With the creative spirit of Dalí and design vision of Philippe Starck, Restaurant Le Dalí is a feast for the senses, where Cédric’s creations are served for lunch, tea time, dinner or brunch.

At two Michelin-starred Restaurant le Meurice Alain Ducasse, Cédric’s desserts are served in style, as a wonderful finale to modern French cuisine. A harmony of classical and contemporary, here you’ll discover a fine dining experience like no other.

Easter egg

This year pastry chef Cédric Grolet presents a beautifully simple – yet exquisite – interpretation of a traditional Easter egg, with a trompe-l’oeil inspired treat. It looks exactly like a real egg, but break open the delicate crispy shell to discover irresistible peanut, cocoa or pistachio praline covered with dark chocolate. Available in three sizes, it can be enjoyed as an individual treat or made to share.
