The Dorchester
Literary supper club series
To mark the 20th anniversary of China Tang at The Dorchester, we’re hosting a literary supper club series in partnership with EA Festival.
Set amongst China Tang’s jewel-like surroundings, this exclusive event sees a lineup of critically acclaimed authors share their stories of Chinese culture, heritage and cuisine.
Food journalist Candice Chung explores the emotional connection behind meals; bestselling historian Paul French reveals Wallis Simpson’s vivid years in 1920s Shanghai; and award-winning writer Fuchsia Dunlop looks at the nuances of Chinese culinary traditions.
Each talk begins with a welcome drink, followed by a bespoke dinner inspired by the featured book.
