Hôtel Plaza Athénée

Hilma af Klint art exhibition

The Grand Palais presents the work of Hilma af Klint in a dedicated exhibition titled Hilma af Klint, Paintings for the Temple (1906–1915).

As a visionary Swedish artist and pioneer of abstract art, Hilma af Klint developed a unique visual language of fluid forms, spirals and symbolic compositions infused with spirituality. Believing her work was ahead of its time, she kept it hidden for decades. Revealed only after her death, her bold and mystical creations quickly gained international recognition.
Her major series Paintings for the Temple unfolds a hypnotic universe of circles, spirals and organic motifs, reflecting her deep exploration of the spiritual and invisible.

Discover these iconic works, including the delicate pastel compositions from The Ten Largest, in this exceptional summer exhibition just moments from Hôtel Plaza Athénée.
